Manila Photowalk Updates

Hello everyone,

2 days before the BIG DAY!!! I hope you’re all excited for the walk. Again, this is a BIG WORLDWIDE EVENT! There are 7,297 people signed-up for the walk! Wow, we either all love Scott Kelby that much or we just want to win a copy of his new book (or the $5,000 grand prize). :)   Of course, we all know that our real purpose is to socialize, meet other photographers and shoot some great pictures.

Speaking of photos, check out Photowalk Guru Jeff Revell’s post on what to shoot during a walk.

What To Shoot

If you’re wondering what’s in Binondo this Saturday, here are some sights to watch out for:

  • Binondo Church
  • Dimsum at Dong Bei (they make them fresh there)
  • Fruits sold along the streets
  • Chinese Temple
  • Pasig River (by Escolta)

There’s also San Nicolas area that’s near Plaza Ruiz (our meeting place).

Weather Update (Aug 21)

I’m feeling lucky! I think dancing the ‘Sun-Dance’ last night (in my dreams) worked! The typhoon seems to be moving out of the country (according to our Weather Bureau). I hope Saturday will provide a very good weather for all of us.  :)

After The Walk

We will all meet at President’s Tea House, 809 Salazar Street, Binondo, Manila. I have made reservations for 50. I hope to see all of you guys there so we can enjoy some dimsum and Chinese food.

Guidelines In Posting Your Photos

Remember, Aug 26 is the deadline to upload all your photos in our Flickr site. Please see the reminders in the post below for more details.

I received some questions like – what kind of post-processing is allowed? Well, here’s Scott’s answer – “They can do anything they want — It’s totally up to them!”

Feel free to provide comments below in case you have questions.

See you on Saturday!
